Totem exists out of a conviction: artificial intelligence is an epochal shift, and epochal shifts are navigated with judgment of your own — not with borrowed urgency.
We don't believe in automating for automation's sake. We believe in freeing human time for human work: thinking, creating, caring, deciding.
Good design isn't decoration — it's respect for the person on the other side of the screen.
And we believe technology is learned by doing: feet on the ground, hands on the tools, eyes on the people it serves.
Three principles
Signal over noise
We try everything, recommend little. Whatever reaches your project or your class already passed our filter: it works, it holds and it earns its cost.
Human first
Every system we build has designed — not improvised — human oversight. AI proposes; people decide.
Nature and science
We're inspired by living systems: they grow slowly, adapt, waste nothing. That's how we design — and how we teach design.
Who we are
Totem is an AI studio and academy based in Buenos Aires, working worldwide. We design digital products, build agentic systems and automation, and train people and companies to work with AI with their own judgment — to an international standard.
